Markell R. Morris is the CEO of Futures In Motion, Inc., helping people reclaim their careers after loss and personal challenges.  She is a national certified counselor, and adjunct career/academic counselor at Santa Monica College and Cypress College. Markell has a Master's Degree in Counseling from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Matt Morscheck, MS, LPC (Oregon) is career counselor and leadership coach with 10+ year background in career development, counseling/coaching, training and facilitation, leadership assessments, and developing comprehensive employee talent mobility programs.  Matt moved to San Diego from Portland, OR in 2018 where he lived for 12 years and served as Past-Presidents of the Oregon Career Development Association and the Oregon  Counseling Association.


Secretary/Historian

Christina Sandoval is a counselor at Santa Monica College; providing academic, career, and personal counseling to students. She has a background in law school admissions and college admissions. Her passion to help people succeed has led her to working with a diverse population including professionals, 'at-risk' students, working students, veterans, first generation, and with those who are returning to school for a career transition. She has a desire to contribute to the field of education with an emphasis on career exploration and strategy.  


Graduate Student Representative

Jessica Meshkani is currently a graduate student at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) pursuing the M.S. in Counseling (option in College Counseling and Student Services). She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a B.A. in Sociology. She currently serves as the President of the CCDA-CSUN Student Chapter.



Technology Chair

Paolo has an M.S. in Counseling from CSULB and is currently attending CSUF's Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) program with a specialization in Community College Leadership. Paolo is the Career Services Coordinator at Coastline Community College and Adjunct Counselor / Instructor, teaching the Career and Life Planning Counseling course. His specialty is in career exploration, development, counseling, and education and has mission in improving this area in the community college system through technology, innovation, and social justice.


Social Media Chair

Kevin Dimatulac is an energetic individual who is passionate about assisting individuals in their own career journey through the lens of college counseling. He hold roles as both Career Advisor at Pasadena City College and Adjunct Counselor for Student Equity programs at Glendale Community College. He was the first in his family to receive both a Bachelor's and Master's degree (CSU Northridge and USC, respectively), and hopes to one day receive his doctoral degree to equip himself with the knowledge, language and skills to enter spaces of academia and advocate for underrepresented groups and minoritized communities of color. Outside of his professional life, Kevin is a coffee connoisseur, rock climber and foodie.

Carrie McKnight is the Director of Career Services at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, CA. She is a Past-President of CCDA and has served on the Board for several years in various roles. Carrie has assisted with planning CCDA’s regional conferences and organized local chapter events in the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley.

Anne-Marie Beck is an innovative and enthusiastic career counseling professional. She holds a M.S. in Counseling, specializing in Career, from Cal State University at Northridge. She currently fulfills the CCDA position of Legislative and Public Policy Chair. Anne-Marie is deeply passionate about providing career services to diverse student and client populations, including addiction recovery and criminal justice. She is presently an adjunct career counselor / instructor at both Cypress College as well as Glendale Community College.

Debra Ann Arviso is passionate about helping students affected by incarceration, and the foster care system. She taught counseling courses for students in a juvenile detention facility, continuation high school and foster youth program. As a mental health advocate, Debra teaches classes for the National Alliance on Mental Illness. She holds a M.S. in Counseling, specializing in College Counseling and Student Services from Cal State University at Northridge. Debra is an adjunct counselor and faculty at Compton College and Los Angeles City College. 


Regional Coordinator

Teresa Yanmei is a counselor with a focus on cross cultural and transitional issues. Raised in China, Yanmei got a bachelor’s degree from Peking university and has worked in the Human Resources field at big corporations in China. After pursuing her master’s degree in the UK and the US, she received an M.A. in counseling in the US. Yanmei has worked as an advisor and counselor with international students, new immigrants, females, and minorities. She is an independent world traveler, problem solver, and cross cultural communicator.
