Speaker Bio: Yas (Djadali) Hardaway is a synergistic, innovative, and equity-driven career development leader, practitioner, and educator. She is a National Certified Counselor through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), a Certified Career Counselor through the National Career Development Association (NCDA), and holds an Executive Leadership Academy Certificate from University of California, Berkeley. Yas has worked in the career development field since 1999, across multiple US universities, including the University of California, Irvine and Loyola Marymount University, as well as transnationally on global shipboard universities. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Career Services at Pepperdine University's Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP), and as a Course Lead and Adjunct Faculty in GSEP’s Psychology Division, where she teaches Career Development Theories & Techniques to master's-level students. Yas received her Master of Science and Education Specialist degrees in Counseling from The Florida State University and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Kentucky. She is published and has presented at international conferences on intercultural career development topics, the application of career development theory to practice, and graduate-level career services. In addition to her leadership within the university setting, Yas has a private career coaching practice, Insight Careers, providing virtual career development coaching for early to senior-level professionals facing career transitions and preparing for career advancement.
